A new standard in digital pigment printing
Texcol® Pigment Transfer Paper is a groundbreaking innovation that enables high-quality pigment printing on natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and viscose — all in a clean, water-free process.
Efficient roll-to-roll performance
Designed for efficient roll-to-roll production, it simplifies workflow, reduces energy and water consumption, and makes pigment printing suitable for sustainable textile production at scale.
Breakthrough Technology
Revolutionizing pigment printing
Texcol® introduces a new roll-to-roll pigment transfer process — enabling vivid, durable prints on natural fibers without washing or steaming. It merges pigment ink versatility with Coldenhove’s advanced transfer coating for a simple, two-step workflow.
Expanded Fabric Freedom
Beyond polyester
Print on cotton, linen, viscose, hemp, silk, or blends — Texcol® makes pigment transfer possible across both natural and synthetic fibers with equal precision.
Waterless & Low-Energy
Cleaner by design
The process uses no pre-treatment, steaming, or washing — reducing water usage completely and CO₂ emissions by up to 40% compared to traditional printing methods.
Process Simplicity
Two steps. Endless possibilities.
Print, transfer, done — Texcol® integrates seamlessly into existing calender setups, including Monti Antonio and Klieverik systems used in roll-to-roll workflows.
Sustainable Impact
Designed for the circular economy
Texcol® supports a cleaner textile future — lowering resource use, enabling on-demand production, and eliminating post-treatment waste in line with circular textile goals.
Learn moreUp to 40% lower CO₂ footprint
With fewer process steps and no water heating or drying tunnels, Texcol® reduces total energy demand substantially. Life-cycle assessments show up to 40% less CO₂ compared to conventional pigment or reactive printing processes. Less water and energy mean fewer greenhouse gas emissions — every print counts.
Over 50% ink reduction
Texcol®’s advanced coating ensures optimal pigment fixation, allowing vibrant, saturated color with significantly less ink. In production tests, printers report over 50% lower ink consumption compared to traditional direct pigment or reactive printing methods. Less ink means reduced resource use, faster drying, and lower costs — without compromising on color brilliance.
0% post-treatment chemicals
The Texcol® process uses no steaming, washing, or chemical fixation. This eliminates wastewater, detergents, and chemical discharge, resulting in a completely dry, closed-loop printing workflow. Cleaner production, simpler logistics, and a safer workplace.
0% water consumption
Traditional textile printing requires large volumes of water for pre-treatment, steaming, and washing. Texcol® eliminates all these steps, reducing water use completely while delivering the same vibrant color quality. The process needs no post-wash or rinse — just print, transfer, and cut.
Fewer process steps, less energy
Texcol® significantly lowers energy use by eliminating high-heat stages such as steaming and drying. The simplified roll-to-roll process requires only heat transfer for fixation, reducing both time and electricity consumption.
On-demand and circular production
Texcol® enables localized, on-demand printing — producing only what’s needed and minimizing overproduction and waste.
The dry process integrates perfectly with digital workflows, making it ideal for circular textile chains and just-in-time production models.
Sustainability

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Clear answers to the most common questions about our papers and processes. Can’t find what you need? Send us your question and we’ll help right away.
Texcol® is a pigment transfer paper that allows you to print high-quality designs onto natural fibers such as cotton, linen, viscose, hemp, and silk without steaming or washing. You print onto Texcol® using pigment inks and then transfer the design onto fabric using Texcol®-compatible transfer equipment.
Texcol® works on a wide range of natural fibers and blends, including cotton, linen, viscose, hemp, silk, and natural-fiber interiors. It is designed for applications that do not require frequent washing, such as home textiles, décor, accessories, linings, and technical textiles.
Yes. Texcol® must be used with textile pigment inks. Sublimation inks, reactive inks, acid inks, or disperse inks will not work and cannot transfer onto natural fibers using this process.
No. Sublimation inks only work on polyester and use different chemistry. Texcol® is engineered for pigment inks that bond to natural fibers through dry heat transfer.
Yes. Texcol® is designed for roll-to-roll printing and transfer, and is also suitable for piece-to-piece and roll-to-piece transfer.
Not always. Texcol® requires a Texcol®-compatible transfer equipment because pigment transfer uses different temperatures, pressure profiles, and dwell times than sublimation. Standard sublimation calenders lack the additional pressure necessary for this process.
You need an inkjet printer that supports textile pigment inks, Texcol® Pigment Transfer Paper, and a Texcol®-compatible transfer equipment capable of roll-to-roll transfer. No steaming, washing, or pre-treatment is required.
Texcol® is similar in workflow (print and transfer) but different in chemistry. Sublimation works on polyester with sublimation inks; Texcol® works on natural fibers using pigment inks. Texcol® also requires no steaming, no washing, and significantly less water and energy then other printing techniques.
Texcol® prints provide excellent light-fastness, rub-fastness, and dry crocking performance. Wash fastness is moderate, which makes the technology suitable for products that are not washed frequently, such as curtains, upholstery, cushions, wall panels, bags, jackets, and interior décor.
Yes. Texcol® eliminates steaming, washing, and drying steps, reducing water consumption and energy requirements significantly compared to conventional textile printing methods.
Yes. Texcol® is ideal for short runs, customized designs, prototyping, interior collections, and seasonal releases. Its dry, two-step process supports flexible and efficient production.
In many cases it can, especially for decorative textiles, interior products, accessories, structured garments, and technical textiles. Texcol® offers lower water use, fewer steps, and high design flexibility, though it is not intended for frequently washed garments.
Yes. Texcol® is a waterless process with no pre-treatment, no steaming, and no wastewater. It uses fewer resources and generates less waste than traditional pigment or reactive printing.
